Opportunity Abt Associates seeks a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to provide analytical support in the development and administration of the compensation and benefits programs that support the company’s goals in order to maintain a competitive position in the marketplace. Key Responsibilities Analyze salary and survey data, work with HR Generalists and line managers to resolve compensation issues, review requests for new or revised job classification, application of compensation practices and techniques, including DOL/FLSA/ADA/SCA requirements. Conduct job analysis and maintain documentation process including: job descriptions, survey benchmarks, FLSA classifications and other relevant supporting data. Determine competitive compensation for individual jobs and job families by analyzing external data using qualified market reference sources and applying specialized methodology to appropriately trend the data. Investigate and recommend resolution on classification questions and FLSA exemptions. Ensure job analysis documentation meets federal requirements. Develop and participate in a variety of compensation surveys to collect and analyze information to determine Company’s competitive position. Research relevant data, sources, and surveys to support competitive program. Maintain network of sources to call upon to address issues, make comparisons etc. Contribute to the performance appraisal process and the administration of the annual salary review program. Review annual cost of living data, average reported annual increase data and present data to support trending for future compensation. Maintain benefit records necessary for each vendor and required documentation (enrollments, changes, terminations). Resolve administrative issues with benefit carrier representatives. Process benefits invoices and partner with Finance personnel to resolve benefits billing issues and discrepancies. Act as primary contact to CIGNA for handling STD, LTD and FMLA leave administration. Provide assistance to employees regarding benefit programs and coverage. Answer questions surrounding co-pay, co-insurance, reimbursement, levels of coverage and benefit options. Provide summary documents and assist employees in deciding carrier of choice. Cancel benefits and deductions for terminated employees and advise them of coverage continuance. As a member of the Centers of Expertise, team with Business Partners by providing consultative expertise in addressing questions and concerns. Administer the company’s global tuition reimbursement program. Skills Prerequisites Solid knowledge of compensation principles and benefit program practices, methodologies and strategies. Advanced PC skills, including spreadsheet design, database design, report writing and presentation applications. Ability to design and deliver training programs. Excellent communication skills. Great teamwork skills. Minimum Qualifications: BA with 2 – 5 years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
