The Finance Office is responsible for the bureau's financial planning and management. The office is comprised of five teams.
The Compliance and Governance/Civil Penalty Fund office coordinates and assists with all GAO, OIG, and other audit and review follow-up activity and produces regular reports on how the agency is doing to resolve audit issues. The office also manages the Civil Penalty Fund program by providing support to the CPF Governance Board, managing the victim payment process, working with other Governanace Board members, and performing other activities. The office also manages the IRB process.
The Financial Management office performs a wide array of financial transactions and reporting, including entering and approving purchase requisitions. The office manages accounting and other financial policies and oversees/manages the work of our accounting and financial management contractor staff at the Bureau of Public Debt.
The Planning and Budgeting office is responsible for formulating budget estimates, preparing budget documents, preparing and transmitting the transfer requets to the Federal Reserve System, and helping to provide information about CFPB spending. The group also works with the Strategy Office to develop the CFPB's strategic plan, annual performance plan, and regular performance reporting.
The Internal Controls office develops and implements the CFPB's internal/management control policies and procedures, conducts internal risk management review, and supports the Senior Management Council.
The Travel and Relocation Office routes, approves, and execute travel and relocation transactions. The office manages the travel credit card program, develops and implements travel and relocation policies, and assists travelers and document preparers.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer. You will provide CFPB management and staff with advisory services and assistance regarding all aspects of travel, travel cards and relocation. You will also coordinate with CFPB staff and service providers to ensure that travel, travel card and relocation activities are performed in accordance with Federal laws and regulations.
