Current employees of MN.IT who are currently in a Systems Analysis Unit Supervisor position and who are eligible to bid will be considered prior to filling the position via other means. This position exists to provide leadership for department wide information systems, systems engineering, equipment planning and related functions within the Department and oversee the Department's central information systems services section to ensure quality, integrity, compatibility, and economy of systems development and use. This position supervises the work units within the Operations group in MN.IT Services@MDH, including the Network & Telecommunications Management team, the Email/Groupware/Storage Mgmt & Collaboration team (EGSMC) and the End User Computing Mgmt. (EUCM)team. These teams provide all shared network and communications services for the Department of Health throughout the state of Minnesota at 10 MDH locations and to the clientele of the Department, the citizens of Minnesota and the many customers and partners within and beyond the state. This position ensures agency information system objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner by proposing hardware and software acquisitions/upgrades, and researching cost and capabilities of hardware/software system components.
