Job Description: HERSHEYPARK Food & Beverage Patio Stewards are responsible for; greeting guests and answering questions, cleaning tables, sweeping patio locations, stocking/re-stocking condiment areas, collecting and washing trays and overseeing the entire patio area to ensure that they are clean and presentable at all times. This position will require candidates that are self-motivated, while working in an environment without constant supervision. While the position will primarily be assigned and focused on HERSHEYPARK Food & Beverage locations, there may be times when the position will assist at other Entertainment Complex locations. The Entertainment Complex consists of HERSHEYPARK, ZooAmerica, HERSHEYPARK Stadium, HERSHEYPARK Arena, GIANT Center and Hershey Theatre. Positions are currently available for employees age 18 or older who are available to work throughout the fall for HERSHEYPARK in the Dark and Christmas Candylane (October, November and December). Job Functions: Greeting guests, while answering general guest related questions Wiping, cleaning, and sanitizing seating and condiment areas (including patio tables) Sweeping and mopping patio and seating areas Collecting food service trays and washing and sanitizing them for re-use by Food & Beverage locations (also includes use of dish washing facilitates to assist in cleaning and sanitizing other food service related dishware Stocking and re-stocking self-service condiment areas (including food toppings, dispensers, utensils, and napkins) Emptying and replacing trash bags as needed Other job related responsibilities as assigned (including assisting within Food & Beverage service locations) Basic Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older on the date of applying. Additional Qualifications: Must be self-motivated to complete tasks while working with limited supervision Must be able to understand and communicate proficiently in English Must have reliable, steady transportation to and from work Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines Working Conditions: Must be able to work at least two (2) weekends per month (Saturdays and Sundays) Must be able to work a flexible schedule of eight (8) hour shifts based on operational hours (typical shifts include 12pm-8pm, 11am-7pm, and 4pm until 11pm) Additional hours may be available during September, October, November, and December Physical requirements include standing (for periods up to 5 hours at a time), walking, bending and lifting up to 20 pounds without assistance Regular outside work in various weather conditions is required (including, hot, cold, rain, snow and other inclement weather) Employee must provide proper footwear (all black, non skid/non slip sneaker) Hershey Entertainment and Resorts is an Equal Opportunity Employer
