Job Description: This position is responsible for leading and supervising staff, and maintaining the operation at the full service restaurant, HERSHEYPARK Place located at HERSHEYPARK. The position will primarily work during afternoon / closing shifts (typical shifts are from 2pm until 11pm). May through August is the primary working months, with some possibility of continuing to work more limited hours through December. Job Functions: Supervising the daily front of house operation and employees before, during, after regular hours of operation; to include, appropriate seating (including reservations), serving, bar tendering, and table bussing guidelines and standards Maintaining and addressing cleanliness and overall appearance of the restaurant’s operation Following and applying all company, department, and restaurant policies and procedures and applying counseling and disciplinary action to restaurant staff as needed Working with full time managers and other supervisors to address staffing, shift rotation, and the overall daily restaurant operation Performing standard opening and closing tasks relating to the restaurant’s operation Answering phones, fielding questions about the restaurant, HERSHEYPARK and surrounding venues Working in a team environment and completing tasks and goals in a quick and responsive manner Performing other job related assignments and tasks as assigned Basic Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older Must have at least two (2) years of full service restaurant experience Must have at least one (1) year of supervisor experience in the Food & Beverage / restaurant industry (to include shift supervisor, restaurant supervisor and or manager) Additional Qualifications: Must be certified or be able to pass an alcohol service class (RAMP Training – will be provided) Must be able to clearly communicate, read and write in English Must have reliable, steady transportation to and from work Must be self-motivated to complete tasks Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines Working Conditions: Physical requirements include standing (for periods up to at least 8 hours at a time), walking (including up and down stairs), bending and repeated lifting (up to 25 pounds without assistance) Regular outside work in various weather conditions is required (including, hot, cold, rain, snow and other inclement weather) Employee must provide proper footwear (black non-skid / non-slip sneakers) Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes Monday through Sunday (including Holidays) with a most shifts being in the afternoon / evening (typically from 2pm until 11pm) Must be able to work a minimum of three (3) weekends (Saturday and Sundays) each month Must be able to work a minimum of five (5) days and between 35-45 hours per week during May, June, July and August (there may be some additional hours available during some weeks) Hershey Entertainment and Resorts is an Equal Opportunity Employer
