AAM is global manufacturing company with over 80 plants worldwide, 30of which use Maximo for maintenance management. After a variety of acquisitions and reorganizations(?), AAM ended up with two versions of Maximo –a 7.1 instance running on Oracle that supported multiple languages, and a 7.6 instance running on SQL Server that supported only English. AAM teamed with Cohesive Solutions to employ a unique technology solution, allowing them to simultaneously upgrade, consolidate, and configure with zero system downtime. Typical upgrades require some period of downtime due to the production cut-over process, which also hinders configurations.
