REXX has long been the primary scripting language for z/OS system programmers and operators. As z/OS integrates more fully with the open source world, much of the new infrastructure coming to the platform relies on Python - a language than has been around nearly as long as REXX. We will compare and contrast these two languages to show how they are more alike than they are different.
