This is a MN.IT@DEED vacancy, supporting the business operations and customers at the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). DEED is the state?s principal economic development agency. DEED programs promote business recruitment, expansion, and retention; international trade; workforce development; and community development. This position reports to the State's Chief Information Officer. The CIO is responsible for overseeing and directing all Information Technology functions, services and IT governance for the Department of Employment and Economic Development. Position responsibilities include providing leadership in integrating MN.IT Services strategic plans with agency IT needs and plans; managing and coordinating the activities of the agency's IT units so they work together and represent the latest technology, methodology and IT best practices; collaborating with MN.IT and agency leadership to assure that IT efforts and investments are consistent with agency and state needs and priorities; managing and developing the performance of the IT staff within the agency.
