About the Internship ProgramThe Research, Markets & Regulation (RMR) division of the CFPB is looking for candidates for its 2013 Summer Internship program. These positions are paid and the program is looking for both graduate (Legal, MBA, Public Policy) and undergraduate candidates.The following groups within RMR are looking to hire summer interns:• Card and Payment Markets: works on credit cards, prepaid cards, and mobile payments• Installment & Liquidity Lending Markets (ILLM) works on student loans, auto loans, and the variousproducts that provide small-dollar cash advances to American households• Mortgage Markets: works on mortgage and home equity loan origination, servicing, securitization, andancillary products• Deposits, Cash, Collections and Reporting Market: works on debt collection & relief, credit reporting &scores, deposits, check cashing, money transfer, and other money services.• Research: Provides fundamental long-term research on financial markets issues.Sample projects include:• Help research and draft policy reports on existing and emerging financial products;• Monitoring market development of specific financial products;• Financial and legal analyses of the effects of current and potential regulations on specific markets and/orcompanies• Perform statistical analysis on large financial data sets.To ApplyVisit our website at www.consumerfinance.gov click ‘Jobs’ them look for “Pathway – Internship.” Please note this posting will not be available until the week of March 11th 2013.
